There are tons of ways to have skin in the game in Texas for the Big Game, despite sports wagering not being legal as of yet.

Multiple operators are offering daily fantasy sports, social sports wagering platforms and prediction markets. All three options are great ways to be engaged in the pro football championship game.

DFS products available

With one game left in the football season, there are multiple DFS operators fans can wager on this weekend. Those include:

Most of these operators have similar markets, which look like prop bets on a traditional sports wagering app. Bettors have to choose the over/under for a particular player.

The games are peer-to-peer, meaning that customers are competing against other customers, and not the house.

DraftKings Pick6 is running a special on Seattle’s leading receiver, who’s receiving yards is set at 0.5. He led the league in receiving yards during the regular season, which means you should lock in the “over.” His true line is set at 95.5 yards.

New England’s quarterback passing yards like is set at 219.5. Earlier in the day, it was 220.5, which is a good indication customers are betting the under.

He is facing a tough Seattle defense, who only threw for 179 yards and 86 yards against the Texans and Broncos, respectively. It might be wise to bet his under.

There are plenty of other markets, too. Fans can wager on receiving yards and rushing yards. And, of course, you can bet over/under on touchdowns for a player.

Prediction markets available

Kalshi operates in the Lone Star State and has plenty of contracts available for customers. Right now, it gives Seattle a 68% chance to win the game, and a 52% chance it wins by five points or more.

Kalshi also has other markets, such as prop-like bets, which include passing yards, receiving yards and rushing yards. Seattle’s leading receiver has a 56% chance of reaching 90+ yards on the game.

Kalshi offers other fun markets such as brands to advertise for the leagues and the opener for halftime performer Bad Bunny. It has one that asks what people and phrases the announcers will mention, which include:

  • Dave Portnoy: 19%
  • Donald Trump: 15%
  • Robert Kraft: 98%
  • Tush Push: 52%
  • What a catch“: 36%

Social sports platforms

Even though legal online sportsbooks aren’t available yet, Texas has platforms that are social sportsbooks, which include Fliff and Rebet Sportsbook.

Both are peer-to-peer style operators that offers similar odds to a licensed sports wagering platform. However, both operators use a dual currency system that involves coins and cash.

Fliff and Rebet have Seattle as a 4.5-point favorite over New England.
